Capital Improvement Committee to Resume on Wednesday

June 9, 2020

The Capital Improvement Committee of the Delaware General Assembly will begin drafting a Bond Bill for Fiscal Year 2021 at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10.

A second meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 11.

Due to ongoing public health concerns related to COVID-19, the co-chairs of the committee will meet in person in the Joint Finance Hearing Room at Legislative Hall. The 10 other members of the bipartisan, bicameral committee will have the option of attending the meetings in person or virtually.

Audio of the proceedings will be broadcast live on the General Assembly’s website. Video of the meeting will be broadcast live to the Delaware General Assembly YouTube channel. A link to that channel also will be posted on the General Assembly website on Wednesday.

Legislators and staff who attend JFC meetings in person will be required to enter the building through the main entrance, where they will undergo health screenings before being allowed to proceed into the building.

Everyone permitted to enter will be required to wear a face covering in all public areas of the building and while interacting with others. Legislators and staff also will be required to maintain 6 feet of space at all times.

Legislative Hall will remain closed to the public during these proceedings.
