WHAT: As part of the Delaware Community Investment Venture Fund’s (DCIVF) ongoing efforts to support moderate- to low-income communities throughout the State, Senator Darius Brown will host a groundbreaking for 8 new affordable townhomes on Davis Street in the 11th Street Bridge neighborhood of Wilmington.
The DCIVF, made possible through Senator Brown’s Senate Bill 83 in 2023, provides funds to banking organizations, credit unions, and Community Development Financial Institutions that are working to better support moderate- and low-income census tracts throughout Delaware.
Through the DCIVF, certified nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution Roberts Impact Investment Fund (RIIF) is providing $670,000 to REACH Riverside to support the construction of the 8 new townhomes. These homes will provide pathways to homeownership for working families and individuals in the 11th Street Bridge neighborhood and surrounding Wilmington communities.
