Following several high-profile cases of sexual misconduct, Sen. Nicole Poore sponsored a series of bills to better protect students from child predators and help police better protect victims from sexual exploitation.

Passed unanimously by the Senate and the House, Senate Bill 289 expanded the scope of Delaware’s sexual extortion law to include threats meant to compel or induce a person to produce visual depictions of themselves or someone else in a sexual situation or threats to distribute or otherwise disseminate such depictions.
