ADVISORY: Preliminary Virtual House Session Schedule

January 7, 2021

Committees and full sessions of the House slated through end of January

DOVER – Following opening exercises on Tuesday, January 12, the House of Representatives will conduct legislative business virtually throughout the month of January, in accordance with the schedule listed below.

Sessions of the full House, including joint sessions of the House and Senate, will be streamed live on the General Assembly’s website, under the section marked “Live Proceedings.” Those wishing to watch session proceedings after it has concluded can watch recordings by following links under the “Meetings & Archives” tab at the top of the page.

Committees of the House will meet via Zoom Webinar, the same platform that has been used successfully in recent months for meetings of legislative bodies such as the Law Enforcement Accountability Task Force, the African American Task Force, and their associated subcommittees.

Members of the public are welcome to attend all virtual House committee meetings and deliver comments on pending legislation. Links to register for each meeting will be posted on the General Assembly’s website, along with scheduling information, agendas and other pertinent details on the Committee Meetings page. Committee meeting notices will be posted by the end of the day on the Thursday prior to the week in which they are scheduled to be held.

As is customary, the General Assembly will recess at the end of January for meetings of the Joint Finance Committee and the Joint Committee on Capital Improvement. Details for these meetings will be forthcoming.

Legislative Hall will remain closed to the public.
