Passed unanimously in both the Senate and the House, Senate Bill 277 addressed the difficulties that health care facilities tasked with serving our most vulnerable neighbors face when it comes to recruiting dental care providers willing to practice in their intensive and vital clinics.
Sen. McBride worked with providers, regulators and Federally Qualified Health Centers to establish a new pathway to practice dentistry in Delaware that helped to expand and reopen dental clinics in our most underserved communities.
The legislation also created the Dental Care Access Task Force, chaired by Sen. McBride and House Majority Leader Melissa Minor-Brown, which spent two years developing a legislative action plan to expand access to dental care for all Delawareans.
