Senate Bill 160

Nicole Poore
Senate Bill 160

Recognizing that Delaware owes more than a debt of gratitude to its first responders, Sen. Nicole Poore passed legislation that provides insurance benefits to dozens of active firefighters, EMTs, paramedics and other volunteers who have been diagnosed with advanced stage cancer.

Passed unanimously in the Senate and the House, Senate Bill 160 directed the Delaware Insurance Coverage Office to purchase a policy that covers our community heroes and provides them with lump sum or monthly payments to help them afford life-saving cancer treatments and support their families while fighting for their lives.
