Senator Laura Sturgeon, chair of the Senate Education Committee, along with co-chair Rep. Kim Williams introduced and passed Senate Bill 107 with a unanimous vote in both chambers.
SB 107 will establish the Interstate Compact for School Psychologists (ICSP), optimizing the amount of mental health professionals available to schools. This legislation will make it easier for qualified school psychologists to work across interstate lines and provide support to students regardless of their district location.
With Delaware’s recent adaptation of the ICSP, we join other states such as: Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Kansas, Nebraska, and West Virginia.
