The Delaware Senate Democrats stand firm in their support for abortion access and a woman’s reproductive freedom.
That’s why Senator Townsend introduced Senate Bill 5, which would enshrine abortion access as a constitutional right for all Delawareans. This legislation received partisan support in the Senate in 2025, but has not yet been voted on in the House. This act requires a two-thirds greater majority vote to be amended into the Delaware Constitution, and will be voted on in the 154th General Assembly.
