Working closely with the Department of Correction and labor representatives, Senator Kyra Hoffner introduced Senate Bill 32 as a balanced measure to support the well-being of those who maintain public safety while upholding transparency within state operations. SB 32 allows public safety professionals the ability to keep their personal information confidential to prevent it from being publicly disclosed.
Providing new protections for correctional and probation officers enhances the safety and privacy of those in these high-risk roles, and recognizes the challenges and risks those face in this role.
