STATEMENT: Sen. Brown on appointees to Delaware Supreme Court

October 24, 2019

“Today’s nominations to the Delaware Supreme Court represent some of the best our state has to offer. Justice Seitz will do an excellent job as our new Chief Justice and Vice Chancellor Tamika Montgomery-Reeves’ nomination continues a legal career that stretches from Delaware’s revered Chancery Court to her past work with groups like the Prisoners’ Rights Project and the Access to Justice Commission. I applaud Gov. Carney’s picks and especially want to highlight the importance of increasing diversity in our judiciary. I look forward to the special session early next month and feel confident that our Supreme Court will continue to set the standard in Delaware and around the nation.”
