Senate Bill 322

In an effort to make life a little easier for Delaware’s working families, Sen. Jack Walsh passed legislation to make diaper changing stations a mandatory feature of most public restrooms throughout the First State.

Passed unanimously by the Senate and the House, Senate Bill 322 required most restaurants, retail stores, theaters, state buildings, libraries and other businesses that offer public restrooms to offer diaper changing stations in all bathrooms, regardless of gender, by Jan. 1, 2023.

A grandfather of four young children, Sen. Walsh was inspired to introduce the bill by his youngest daughter Kelsey.
